When Disney’s Beauty and the Beast 3D opens next Friday (Jan. 13) it will play behind an all-new short film, Tangled Ever After. Here is a new clip from the short.
The short film features Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore supplying voices for the characters they portrayed in the original movie, Tangled, which was a huge international hit in 2010. As you may have guessed from the title, Tangled Ever After is about the royal wedding of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
Beauty and the Beast 3D is the original 1991 movie that has been converted into 3D.
The film, which was nominated for six Academy Awards, was both the first animated feature to receive a Best Picture nomination and the first to earn more than $100 million in its initial release.
Studio synopsis: The film captures the fantastic journey of Belle (voice of Paige O’Hara), a bright and beautiful young woman who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voice of Robby Benson) in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff—a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others—and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.
