Some of you may have noticed recent changes in MovieHouston.com. Not only does the website look different, but the new platform allows me to automate some functions. This will cut down on long waits for free movie tickets.

Previously, when I gave away 100 printable tickets I had to find time to send out 100 individual emails with attachments. Now I can let software send out 100 emails that tell you where to find the printable ticket on the site.

In order to receive one of the automated emails, you have to fill out a short form.

In the past, when I posted on Twitter or on Facebook that I was giving away free movie tickets, some of your would simply write me a letter and ask for your ticket. That won’t work anymore. You will have to visit the site and enter your email address in the entry form in order to get the automated email.

I won’t be able to always use the automated process to get you your ticket. Still, it is a good idea to get in the habit of regularly visiting the website.

My New Year’s resolution is that I will give you more reasons to visit. I will be posting more Houston movie news and features. Also, I soon hope to start regularly giving away DVDs.

My goal is that you will find something new here every day – a movie news item, a movie review, a giveaway – to make visiting MovieHouston worth your while.

I want this to be a daily habit and I will be posting daily – sometimes several times a day – to help make that happen.
